I've always been interested in how things work — and why they don't.

That curiosity drives my design work. I like figuring out what's unclear, what's unnecessary, and what can be improved.

I was raised in the Pacific Northwest, around people who built things — houses, boats, companies. Practical work and clear thinking. That mindset shows up in how I design: no drama, no fluff, just solid solutions.

I studied advertising and illustration at Seattle Central College. Since then I've worked across print, web, product design, and digital systems. The tools change. The fundamentals don't.

These days I prefer working with small businesses. The work is real. The impact is immediate. The conversations are honest. I enjoy helping owners tighten things up — whether that's a sign, a website, or the way they explain what they do.

I've always loved books, history, and art. David Macaulay's How Things Work, Lego manuals, punk rock, role-playing games — all of it shaped how I think about systems and storytelling.

If you're running a small business and something feels unclear or off, I'm always up for a 15-minute introduction.
